Staff Workers
UCCF staff workers are responsible for supporting, encouraging and resourcing student led Christian Unions in their mission to make Christ known on campus. We have a new staff worker this year - Gareth Leaney, who will be aiming to do just that. Neil Bidston and his family have also been helping us out as a CU over the past year while we have been without a staff worker.
Gareth Leaney
My name is Gareth and I work full time with an organisation called UCCF, supporting Christian Unions in Reading and Guildford. The aim of the CU is to live and speak for Jesus on campus, and my job is to help them to do just that. I love helping Christians and non-Christians to see how great Jesus is, and how the awesome news about him applies to everyone, all the time. I'm originally from Matlock in Derbyshire, I studied Psychology and Zoology in Bristol, and I've been working in Essex for the past 4 years. I like films (especially musicals), cheesy pop music, and trifle.
