Local Churches

As a Christian Union, we understand that we are the outreach of the Church into our university. Being involved in a local church is the best place to receive support, encouragement and biblical teaching - the CU is not a church but a mission team on campus. Reading has a wide range of different churches with different styles of worship. We encourage everyone who comes to Reading to get settled in a local church and so we use the first term of the year helping those new to Reading to explore the local churches and find one where they feel comfortable.

Church Search

Sundays 9.30am outside Palmer building (Autumn Term only)

At the beginning of the year there will be a 'Church Search' which aims to help freshers and those new to Reading find a church for their time at university. Students from the CU who currently attend the Churches will be around outside The Palmer Building to walk with you to the Church. Go to a few different churches to find one the suits you, but don't spend to long looking, it's important to settle down into a church and to get involved. Have a look below at some of the churches that we recommend in Reading.
